Precourse (Propädeutikum)
The Precourse (Propädeutikum) prepares students’ language skills for a technical degree program in Germany.
All international applicants to the TU whose international qualifications entitle them to study in the Federal Republic of Germany and want to study a scientific, engineering or economic program may apply for the Precourse.
The curriculum primarily covers German as a foreign language and the specialized vocabularies of mathematics and physics as they relate to future studies. After one semester, the course concludes with the German assessment test. A passing score on this test is considered equivalent to the DSH2 exam and accepted in the application to the university.
Starting in summer semester 2020 this cours will be chargeable in accordance with §10 (1) of the schedule of fees from 30 August 2019. The charge for the cours (including the exam) is about 325€ in addition to the semester fee.
The courses begin in both summer and winter semesters.
