All applicants to one of the Focus courses (T, W, and M) or the Prerequisite program must take an admissions test because there are always more applications than available spots.
Invitations are sent out once all the applications through
Uni-Assist have been processed. The invitations are emailed in digital
form only and can be submitted to the authorities as part of a visa
We do not wirte conditional letters of acceptance.
The admission test takes place here at the Preparatory School (Studienkolleg) of the Technische Universität Berlin. For all applicants, it covers the subjects of German and mathematics and generally lasts 3 hours.
The results (admitted/not admitted) are listed online on the Preparatory Schools’ websites. At the test-taking session, each applicant is assigned a number that they can use to find out their result.
Applicants must prepare for the test independently; the Preparatory School does not offer courses for admissions test preparation.
It is not possible to waive the requirement for the admissions test.
If more applicants pass the test than the number of available spots, the test scores determine who is admitted.
